Scorpion Type SST super-thread screws are designed for attaching gypsum board to wood or light gauge 18-30 mil (25-20 gauge) steel studs. The special alternating coarse and fine threads increase holding power and reduce strip-outs.

Installation Guidelines
- Use a standard screw gun with a depth-sensitive nose piece. Suggested screw gun specification for optimal performance - Size #6 - #10 up to 4,000 RPM.
- The Bugle Head is fully seated when the screw is below the surface of the wallboard in accordance with Section 7.2.2 of ASTM C1002.
- The fastener must penetrate beyond the metal three full threads.
- Overdriving my result in fastener failure or strip out of the work surface.
