- The high hex washer head design provides a larger load bearing surface for better holding power.
- High hex washer head screws begin with the best available materials and conform to strict manufacturing requirements in thread forming. Extra sharp threads mean screws will drive faster and will hold better.
- Self-tapping drill point is designed for quick penetration into heavy-gauge metal.

- Use a standard screw gun with a depth-sensitive nose piece and use extra caution when installing with impact drivers. Suggested screw gun specification for optimal performance - Size #10 up to 2,500 RPM, Size #12 up to 1,800 RPM; however, 2,500 RPM may be used provided care is exercised to minimize influence of high heat buildup due to surface speed (see ASTM C1513, Table 5, note C).
- The hex head is fully seated when the bearing surface of the head is flush with the work surface.
- The fastener must penetrate beyond the metal a minimum of three full threads.
- Overdriving my result in fastener failure or strip out of the work surface.
- For heavy gauge steel-to-steel attachment 43 mil (18ga) or thicker.
